AT HOME TENNIS WORKOUT
You don’t need a court to get in your tennis workout. Coach Emily Zabor shares some exercises that can improve your game at home.

GET YOUR MIND AND BODY RIGHT
One of the most important things an athlete must master is being aware of and controlling the physical and mental state from which they are playing.
Here are four solutions you can use to develop positive body language and self-talk.

HOW TO PERFORM BETTER UNDER PRESSURE
Your first goal in every tennis match is to try to play point by point and never dwell on the outcome. The outcome is out of your control, and if you do focus on it, you’ll experience anxiety and feel the pressure.
Here are a couple examples of how to focus your mind to stay present…

FIVE WAYS TO BUILD YOUR MENTAL PROWESS

Everyone wants to know if one player at the baseline and one player at the net, or both players at the net, or both players at the baseline is the best. There is a different solution for every “problem”

WHY HAVE YOUR KIDS PLAY TENNIS?
Through tennis, we can teach kids the principles needed to succeed in life: independence, self-reliance, decision making, hard work, balance, determination, standing up after a big fall, disappointment and joy

THE CLASSIC BATTLE
As tennis coaches, there seems to be a constant discussion over which specific areas our teaching efforts are best served (No pun intended). Any tennis coach, player, or parent is most likely familiar with the discussion over, technique versus live ball play.

HEALTHY THINKING HABITS
Most athletes are very conscious of the foods that they put in their body before, during, and after practice or play, but are unconscious of the words and the mental conversation that is going on inside their head. There is a common saying that almost
